Upcycled Jewelry Box

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.

Today's post is a really simple way to display you favourite little items without going and buying an expensive box. I am sure you have seen all around the blogger/youtuber world those clear, acrylic boxes that store make-up and jewelry which are sometimes pretty pricey for what they are.
Well I thought instead of going and buying a £10 box to store my jewelry I would use an empty Ferrero Roche box that was just lying around. I thought it would be a great dupe for one of them boxes. And it is so simple to do.

So here is the empty Ferrero Roche box that I said about. These are just under £10 in the supermarkets (when they are full of chocolates) which is the same prices as the jewelry boxes which is fare enough. But if you have one of these or one similar to this lying around your house would be perfect. Then you just need to peel off the label. This is a little tricky because the glue wouldn't come off for me as you can see in the pictures below but you may find a way to get it off.

And when that simple step is done just place whatever you want in the box. I have done a few different variations of which you can use it to give you some ideas. I have also shown you where I have placed my box  to give you an idea of size.

And that is everything. One super easy jewelry display just made from whats in my house. If you do something like, this be sure to tweet/Instagram me, my accounts are at the side bar for you.
Also be sure to check out my YouTube channel, Simply Bethany x,  if you haven't already, I am so close to 100 subscribers and it would mean a lot to me if you did.

THANK YOU FOR 50!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well.

I just wanted to do a quick little post to say THANK YOU!

I hit 50 subscribers on my Youtube channel which is so exciting. I wanted to just post about this because, even though it is a small number for some, for me 50 subscribers is a big milestone for me. Especially since I have only been on Youtube a month, its is really good, I think anyways.

I also recently uploaded a Zoella Unboxing video (which I will put below) and the views on that video alone are crazy. At this point in time they are currently 574 views on it! This is the most I have ever had and I feel a little overwhelmed but mostly happy. Also I think I might do a review on her new product a month after using them so let me know if you would like that.

If your are reading and you have subscribed to my channel I want to say a massive thank you because it means alot.

I know todays post is short but hopefully sweet, and I hope I will be making another Thank you post very soon.  And I will see you in my next post.

First Month On Youtube | Overview

Hello everybody, hope all is well.

I thought I would talk about my experience with being on Youtube for about a month now. I can't believe it has been a month since I decided to give Youtube a go and see how it goes. I know it seems like a short amount of time to some people but for me it seems like quick a long time. I think in the first month or so, you will know if having your own channel is something you want to do, and in my case I know it is.

I have wanted to start one for ages but made the excuses that I didn't have anything to film on or am I interesting enough, which I am still working on haha. But I have really enjoyed making videos and editing them too, and one of my favourite things to do: the thumbnails.

The one this that has really been my highlight is people commenting on my videos. I find it so nice that people take the time out to watch my videos and then comment too! And because of this, I am finding other creators with great channels too which makes me think I can do it, I can build up my channel into something great.

Gaining subscribers was something I thought I would struggle with. I thought I would gain like 5 and that is it, but no. At this current point in time I have 37 subscribers which, to me, is so amazing. I am so happy that people have subscribed which is such a great motivation to want to do more! I also noticed something to do with the total number of views on my channel, and I am currently at 995! That is 5 off 1,000 which is such a crazy number!

My overall feeling towards the past month on Youtube is that I feel great, I am so glad that I chose to pluck up the guts to start my own channel. It has given me something to do and focus on and I feel like I am gaining small amounts of confidence with doing it which is a positive. I look forward to making more videos and for also filming some vlogs in summer which is super exciting because I will be able to look back on the memories that I make whenever I want.

Before you go, I want to ask you to do me a favour and help me get to 50 subscribers by the end of May, it would mean to absolute world and I am not far from it either. Please let me know if you do by tweeting me or through Instagram or Youtube. Thank you for reading and I will see you in my next post.

MET GALA | BEST DRESSED

Hello everyone, hope you all having a nice day.

Today I wanted to talk to you about the Met Gala, well really just the outfits because there was some A-MAZ-ING dresses. I believe the theme was Fashion In The Age of Technology which explains the cool outfits! I am not going into too much detail with why I like each outfit, I just wanted to share with you my personal favourites from that night, so lets get on with it.

Kylie Jenner:
How amazing does she look, especially for her debut on the MET Gala red carpet. This is one of my favourite dresses because I fits with the theme but is also classy and pretty which I think people did not expect from here. Her short hair makes the dress more of a focus piece too because it is a simple cut in a natural hair colour as opposed to her brightly coloured wigs.
Beyonce:
What can I say about Beyonce, she is the Queen Bey and slayed the red carpet. The only thing I didnt like about the dress was the puffy arms but other than that I love this look, mind you she could turn up in a bin bag and probably make it look a millions dollars. Got to love the Queen Bey.
Blake Lively:
Another classy dress with Blake Lively. The reminds me of something that Padme Amidala would wear (the queen in Star Wars). It is such a cool dress and really well made. Again, by having her hair up it allows the dress be the focus point.
Claire Danes
Wow, just wow! I think this is the dress that stole the night. It is something that you would see Cinderella wearing in a Disney movie. I love how it lights up in the dark, I think thats why I like it so much. It is very different to all the other dresses on the carpet. A round of applause for the designer.

Kim Kardashian West & Kanye West
This is a tricky one for me. Its a bit like marmite, you either love it or hate it. I LOVE Kims dress, it is so gorgeous and complements her figure perfectly but where have her eyebrows gone?! I think her make-up looks silly which potentially ruins the look, but thats only my opinion. And with Kanye, I kinda of love it. I expected something like this because it is a Kanye thing. I love his contacts too, don't hate me.
Kendall Jenner
Still with the Kardashian/Jenner clan, I loved Kendalls dress. It suits her figure really well and I think is one of them dresses that she pulls off really well. I loved her simply ponytail too, I wish I could get mine like that ;)
Rita Ora
This dress is another one that is up there with my favourites, worn by Rita Ora. She looked amazing in this. You never know with Rita what she is going to wear because she is fearless when it comes to fashion, but this is probably one of her best looks! It is a real convosation started but also elegant. I love it!

And that is the end of this post, I hope you have enjoyed reading. Let me know what your favourite looks were. I hope you have a lovely day and I will see you next time.

Why I have started Youtube

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.

Todays post is about why I have started my own Youtube channel. If you didn't know already, I have recently started YouTube and have only posted a handful of videos but I have really enjoying it. So I thought that I would do a little post explaining why I started and maybe in the future (like in a couple of months) I will make a video all about this and if Youtube has done this for me. So lets get on to the three main reasons why I started Youtube.

TIME TO PLAY WITH?
My current situation is that I am working part-time as a sales assistant. I was taken on for Christmas and I have been kept on til June, but when that time comes, I will have a lot of time free. I will be looking for other jobs but it isn't a big worry at this moment in time because I still live at home and I will be taken back on back in about September/October I think, for the same job. I also help my mum out a lot so I won't be completely doing nothing. This is one reason why I wanted to continue with my blog and create a channel, so I had something to focus on whether 1 or 100 people read/watch.

SOCIAL LIFE
It is fair to say I don't have the best social life compared to a lot of people my age, which for me is not a massive deal. But I really enjoy interacting with people on social media, mainly twitter, that I don't know personally. I love it when other creators tweet me back, like Meg from MegSays, we sometimes have little conversations via twitter, nothing too much just the little things. I also see people like Gabby (velvetgh0st) and Hannah (Fabulous Hannah) and others tweeting each other, I love reading the conversations and think I would love to have that with other people, not in a jealous way though. I see a lot that Youtube can create genuine friendships and that is what everyone wants in life, right?

CAREER DIRECTION AND OPPORTUNITY'S
If anything is to come of my channel/blog, I would be over the moon. My aim is to have a positive influence on others and also connect with others. It might sound cheesy but I feel like Youtube would be the perfect job for me becuase it is something I can control, but also very creative and, if everything goes right, will be a positve thing for me. I have never really known 'what I want to be when I grow up' but then I studied Media from year 10 as a GCSE then at college I studied Media, Film and Photography at A-Level and I really enjoyed it. From there I knew I wanted to be in the media side of things. Youtube seemed to just fit into that area and I am determined to focus on this and hopefully opportunity's will open up.

And that's the end of today's post, I hope you understand the reason why I started a YouTube channel. First and foremost with my channel I just want to have fun with it and see where I end up with it because you never know. So until next time...

Lush Review : Guardian of the Forest

Hello everyone, I hope you are well

So todays post is all about the Lush bath bomb Guardian of the Forest and I have even gone and made a little video of the footage I got. Its not amazing because I didn't think I would be able to make a video out due to editing but I realised I have Movie Maker. Anyways, getting back onto the subject, I am going to give you my opinion of this bath bomb to give you an idea of what it's like.

If you didn't already know, I got a gift box for my birthday which had a bunch of different bath bombs in, all from Lush, and I thought it would be fun to share my opinion on them after I have used them. So, if you was to by this product of its own it would cost £3.95 which is a good price for the quality of their products. The Guardian of the Forest bath bomb's description on the website is:

"See with eyes uncovered as you find the spirit of the forest, dappled with mossy greens and soft with the shimmer of lustre. Prickly on the senses at first, the calming cypress and mystical oakmoss absolute will embrace you, drawing you into the bright, sunlit heart of this woodland bomb, packed full of fragrant rosewood oil. One to faun over."

The colour of the bath bomb itself is so pretty, with a pattern on a tree on it which is cute because it relates to its name 'forest'. I have to admit, I didn't think I would like this one as much because I am more of a sweet person when it comes to scents. But when I put this in my bath Oh My God, it smelt lovely! For me, the smell that immersed as soon as I put the bath bomb in the water was tea bags which sounds so weird but I really liked it. I was so shocked of how nice it smelt. I was instantly put in a good mood and is definitely a product you would use if you want to de-stress and unwind. If you want to see what happened when I put the bath bomb in my bath then take a look at my little montage I put together below. I think next time I use a lush product I might do a more talkative video and make it longer like a proper review.

And thats it for this post. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed reading and also my little video, let me know your thoughts on the video. Also tell me what your favourite lush product is so that I can try some new ones and I will see you in my next post.

Top 5 Songs Right Now

Hello there, Hope all is well.
Today I thought I would share with you the songs that I can't stop listening to at the moment. I thought I would narrow the list down to 5 so that I am not going on forever.

1. Fifth Harmony - Work From Home
I love this song, ALOT! I am a fan of Fifth Harmony's music from what I have heard in the charts but never heard their album. But after this song and video I need to listen to it! The video itself reminds me of a Ciara music video she did back in the day. The music has such a good beat to it which you don't really hear in mainstream pop songs which is good, lets them stand out more. And can I just say these girls are like 18, 19 years old! Same age as me!

2. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman
Now this song has got me hooked. Ariana's vocals are just out of this world and just seem to get better. There is a more sexy vibe to the mood of this song as opposed to her other songs but she still works it. I particularly like her A Capella version of this which I will also put the video, you can thank me later ;)

3. Meghan Trainor - Better When I'm Dancin'
If you want to dance and cheer yourself up, this is the song for you. The beat and vocals are super uplifting and make you want to dance. I am a big fan of Meghan's music anyways but I think this is one of my favourites of hers!

4. Tinie Tempah ft Zara Larson - Girls Like
Another person I am a big fan of is Tinie Tempah and when he releases a new song there is no doubt in my mind that I won't like it because I always do. This song is no exception. The beat of the song as soon as its starts is infectious and you have an urge to bop your head. Also if you like to walk/run alot this song is perfect. I tend to pick this song when I am power walking because I try to walk to the beat.

5. Zayn - Like I Would
What can I say, Zayn is really nailing his solo career. Pillowtalk was such a good debut song I was worried if any of his new songs would live up to it but I was happy to hear this song because it is AMAZING. I think I may like it just a little more than Pillowtalk and that's saying a lot. I feel like even if you wasn't a 1D fan you will like this music because it is so different to it.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading this post and if you found any new songs you like. Let me know your top 5 songs at the moment on my twitter or in the comments and I will see you in my next post.

Lush Review: Yoga Bomb

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well.

Todays post is a Lush Bath Bomb review which I am so excited about because I have never had Lush products before and I got a gift set for my birthday from the girls at work so I thought I will share my first reaction and overall thoughts on the products over a couple of posts.

The first bath bomb, as you can see from the title of the post, is the Yoga Bomb which smells amazing. I got this in a gift box that was made for mothers day, but if you want to buy this separately it costs £3.95. The description of this bath bomb from the website is:

"Take a journey of the self as reassuringly soothing sandalwood oil creates a sanctuary of calm in your bath. When you plunge this meditative fizzer into the water, slow mesmerising shades of oranges, purples and turquoise will unfurl. At the same time deeply relaxing olibanum and ho wood release, fragrancing your body and surroundings. It’s the ideal atmosphere to lie back and contemplate life. "

The description is spot on! The smell burst out as soon as I dropped it in the bath and the colours that came out of it was such a surprise. I thought it was going to be just yellows and oranges but no! The bright blues and purples mixed with the oranges looked amazing. Definitely Instagram worthy! Also, I felt so relaxed during and after the bath and I have to mention how amazing my skin felt and smelt! I would definitely recommend this if you are feeling in need of a chill.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my first Lush review on my blog. I have four more on the way when I have used them so I will make sure to review them too. Until next time, thank you for reading and let me know your favourite lush product!

What I Eat Wednesday

Hello everyone

I am back blogging. I haven't posted since November last year because I was just feeling uninspired, but now i feel inspired I am going to try my hardest to focus on blogging whether 1 or more people read it or not. Just bare with me on the quality of my images as I am taking everything on my iPhone 4. Right lets get on with my first what I Eat Wednesday.

Breakfast
I am trying to eat as healthy as I can because I am not happy with my lifestyle choices that impact on my body image so I am making changes to my food choices. For breakfast I had porridge with cinnamon and raisins with a bottle of Smart Water. I have been really enjoying watching Anna Saccone Joly's videos, especially her What I Eat Wednesday videos and she has porridge with cinnamon and fruit. I have not had cinnamon before so I thought I would try it and my first thoughts was its smells like a Christmas candle, and when I ate it in my porridge I felt like its a little bland and will take some getting used to.

After saying about being healthy, at about 10am I had a cheeky Costa Hot Chocolate which was heavenly, especially as today the weather was absolute pants (bucketing it down with rain). The hot chocolate certainly warmed me up.

Lunch
For lunch i had a turkey sandwich. I use wholemeal brown bread which has 7 different types of seeds in it. I used sliced turkey breast as a filling and had flora butter which is made from plants ( I can't remember the name of it haha). I was going to have crisps but then I realised it would be better if I didn't so instead I helped myself to some cashew nuts and pistachio's as a snack alongside my sandwich.

Dinner
For my dinner I had a Quorn escalope with Uncle Ben's wholemeal rice with quinoa. I have been looking forward to this since yesterday not because its a healthy meal but simply because its sounds so nice to have. I finished off the meal with tomatoes, cucumber and feta cheese and I enjoyed it so much. Definitely recommend you recreate this meal. You will thank me later ;)

Well that is everything I ate today. I hope you enjoyed reading. Let me know any healthy meals that you like and I will see you in my next post.
