CBBC Live&Digital Hull

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to talk about an event that happened in Hull a few weeks ago and I thought why not share it with you because it was pretty cool if I say so myself.
On October 31st, the team of CBBC came to Hull for a 2 day event called 'CBBC Live & Digital Hull'. Basically over the two days, which where a Saturday and Sunday, the team over at CBBC hosted a free event for kids to come and discover all things digital. On the Saturday, which is they day me and my little sister went, was filmed for live TV on the CBBC channel and my little sister was lucky enough to be on TV, giving a shout out to my sister back at home which was so exciting. She did not expect anything like that to happen. It was filmed in the City Hall and the set up was amazing, along with the presenters who were lovely too and my sister was so happy to meet them all.
For me, I was in awe of the whole production side of things. If you didn't know already studied media, film and photography at college and have A-Levels in these areas, and this sort of event is something that one day I hope I either work in or have experienced. I fined it quite exciting to be part of something like this, both behind and in front of the camera so to me this day was so beneficial to me, just giving me insight into this area of the industry.
Throughout the day, my sister managed to meet the dogs off the CBBC channel Hacker and Dodge, The presenters and Nina from Nina and the Neurons (a CBeebies shows) and also took part in some of the activities that were available.
But, I think the highlight of my day which is probably my favourite thing this year, I got to meet Niki 'N' Sammy! I was so excited to meet them, especially because the night before Sammy tweeted me back with a load of cute emoji's! They also re-tweeted me the next day of the photos that I got with them. I also have to say how lovely they were, I literally want to meet them again and be friend forever! And now I have new favourite photos!

So that was it, I hope you enjoyed reading about it. It is hard to explain unless you were there but nevertheless me and my sister had an amazing day and what a great opportunity. Let me know if you have met anyone famous like a presenter or YouTuber in the comments and till the next time, Bye x

November's Top 3 Albums

This month has been crazy for great music in the charts and I thought I would share my favourite three albums which I can't stop listening too.

1. Ellie Goulding - Delerium
I am in LOVE with this album, I think its not only her best album but the best of the year. It is such a current, addictive style of music on the album I cannot stop telling everyone to listen to it. I still love the songs that were already released before the album; Love Me Like You Do, On My Mind and Something the Way You Move which are some of my favourites on the album but other than them I love Aftertaste and Codes. The lyrics are amazing and the tracks themselves are such an addictive thing to listen too. I highly recommend this album, even if you are not an Ellie Goulding fan, you will be after listening to all 22 songs on the most amazing album of the year!

2. Little Mix - Get Weird
Another album that is on repeat on my Spotify is Little Mix's new album Get Weird. It is so good I cannot explain it, you have to listen to it! I was really excited during the lead up to the albums release and when I listened to it I knew it was one of the best things I have heard in a while. I love Black Magic and Love Me Like You from before the album was released but other than that I cannot pick a favourite song because they are all so good and for so many reasons. Again I recommend this album to anyone and everyone!

3. Justin Bieber - Purpose
I know that this album is not out yet but I am actually really excited for it, based on the music Justin has been releasing at the moment is so good. I have never been a massive fan girl over Justin Bieber but I am a huge fan of his new music, especially Sorry which is currently at No.1 in the charts. On the subject of upcoming albums, I am really excited for One Directions Made in the AM album which is due to be released soon and I have to say the new music without Zayn is sounding better than anyone thought.

So thats a quick run down of my favourites in music this month. Please let me know any albums/songs/artists that you think you like and be sure to let me know what you think of the albums I have mentioned and I am sorry I have not blogged in a while, I have just been super busy with things like I got my first job. I am going to try my best to post more and hopefully someone will enjoy it.

August Favourites

Hi everyone. Its that's time of the month were I tell you what I have been loving throughout August.

Zoella - Lets Spritz! Perfume & Kissy Missy Lip Balm
About 2 weeks ago, I got bought two products from Zoe's new range which were the perfume and the lip balm and it is fair to say that the hype about it was huge. The perfume smells amazing and is long lasting as well and is definitely going to be a staple beauty product for me. I don't really you tinted lip balm but this one is very subtle if you put a small amount on. It also smells so good. And of course the products packaging is incredible. It looks so pretty on my shelves.

Clearasil Face Wash
This face wash has change my life, seriously. Prior to this I have just used soap and water to wash my face but then i bought this and it is amazing, Alongside drinking a lot of water, using this morning and night it has really cleared my skin up and I have had perfect skin.
So I definitely recommend this product.

Imperial Leather Body Wash

OMG! I have found my favourite ever body wash, and it smells like sweets! If your someone who loves sweet smells then these are made for you. One wash is scented like the sweets Fruit Salad and the other Marshmallow and they smells so good and also the smell lasts so long. My favourite of the two is the Marshmallow one because it smells like the perfect scent. Also the packaging is so cute and look really nice just on the shelves in your bathroom.

Yankee Candle - Shea Butter
Next is a candle which smells incredible. Its was my mums birthday present and we rarely buy candles as I have younger siblings so we don't buy them for safety reasons but even when its not lit it smells so nice and fresh. I would say that it would go well in a room that your in a lot like a living room because it has the homely touch to it too. And of course, it just looks nice on a table with a picture or something next to it.

Youtubers of the Month

Zoella
Zoe is one of my all time favourite Youtubers because she has such a lovely personality which really shines through in her videos. Recently I have been going back and watch her old vlogs and I can say that I will never be bored watching them. I am sure millions agree with me that she is a genuine, kind person and I have not even met her but it is unreal how proud of her I am. She has just hit 9 million subscribers, she has two beauty ranges, she has released a book and is due to release her second in October. The list is endless but she is just such an amazing role model for a lot of people and she is just amazing.

MegSays
My second Youtube favourite is a smaller youtube acount called MegSays and I started watching her when Zoe tweeted about her. She is such a lovely person and I just want her to succeed with her channel and have more people recognize her because she deserves it. Meg is also honest about her chronic illness so opening up about it on Youtube was amazing thing she did and I am sure people will be able to relate to her.                                             So far, my favourite video of hers was her July Favourites because she just chatted to the camera and it felt like she was just having a conversation with her viewers which I like when watching a video.
I have also chatted with her via twitter and she seems so lovely and sweet and it felt like I was talking to a friend. I highly recommend everyone go and check her out and subscribe!

Music Favourite
I have two music favourites this month the first being a constant favourite which is Hobbie Stuart. I absolutely love Hobbie, he is the cutest person every and has an amazing voice. He recently started vlogging which are very entertaining because he just comes off with the funniest things. His newest cover Hotline Bling/Can't Feel My Face is so addictive to listen to and can I just say how fit he looks ;)

Second favourite is Rita Ora ft Chris Brown - Body on Me. I really love this song because the beat is just so good and Rita's voice is incredible. I have always been a big fan of Rita's so it was inevitable that I would not like this song but this collab is great.

Well that is all my favourites this month. Be sure to let me know what yours are.

My Favourite Perfumes

Hey,
Today's post is about my favourite perfumes which I wanted to share with you and hopefully you might be interested in.

My first perfume that I am going to share with you is Police To Be for her which I got as a present for Christmas. I have been using it since I got it and I love it! It is a strong, fruity smell so it smells sweet and rich. And to top off the amazing smell, it lasts throughout the day which is a quality that I want in my perfumes because I want to apply is once at the start of the day and it still smell strong at the end. Also, considering I have used it since Christmas, I still have half left. And I can't go on without mentioning how cool the bottle is, it is a purple, transparent skull with a silver strip across the mouth saying 'POLICE'.

My next perfume is a boyband perfume from Union J, a British boyband. I got this also as a present for my birthday which came in a gift pack with some body lotion of the same fragrance. The scent itself is a more citrus, fruity smell which is really nice as I really like citrus scents. Talking about how long it lasts, personally, I don't think it last as long as the other perfumes that I am going to mention. I would say you will be able to smell it for a couple of hours. The bottle is a really pretty shape and colour which also has a little charm on it around the lid with the Union J logo on it which is cute.

Cacharel Lou Lou is the next perfume, which is one of the two products that are my mums but I also like to use. This scent is more of a floral scent which is really rich and smells expensive, if that makes any sense. The smell lasts so long on your body and clothes for at least 2 days. And because it last so long, it is really worth re-purchasing. My mum bought this because she has always worn it, almost like her signature scent. Looking at the ingridients, it has Jasmine, Mimosa, Orange, Tiare Lily in it which are really nice together. The bottle is a hexagonal shape made up of two solid colours, blue and red.

Another perfume which is my mums but I use it too is Elizabeth Arden's Sunflowers which, as you can imagine, is a floral scent. I wouldn't say the floral scent is as strong at Lou Lou, but it is a more musky version. The main ingredients are melon and peach with jasmine. The bottle is a nice, subtle design with the liquid being an orangey yellow, the lid being white.

Saving the best to last is my favourite perfumes of all time which come from the JLS franchise. You might be reading this thinking that why buy it if they have split up (for those who are not familiar they were a British boyband which I love) but you wouldn't of known that their perfumes are AMAZING.
There are two products which are KISS (the white bottle) and LOVE (the pink bottle) which I have re-purchased time and time again. KISS is a really nice, floral scent which is wearable anytime of the year. LOVE, which was a valentine special, is a more romantic scent which I also have people asking what it is. LOVE is my favourite of the two just because of the rich scent. The two products also last a long time. The lids to the bottles are magnetic so they just stay on the bottle.

And that is all of the perfumes. I hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know your favourite perfumes below.

Thank You for reading

McBusted 2015

 Hey,
I thought today I would talk about what happend on the 18th July this year. One Word.

Yes, I went to see McBusted in Scarborough and let me tell you now, it was AMAZING!!. I went with my friends and we spent the day in Scarborough. We went on the beach for an hour or two, got fish and chips and went in the arcades. I even went quite far out in the sea with my friends which I did not expect to be doing but its one of them moments where you just want to soak up all the fun and happiness that's going on right there. And that's how i felt the whole day, especially when it got to the concert. If you follow me on Instagram you would of seen these pictures below which I took in Scarborough which I edited to match my theme, which I did a blog post about here.

We arrived at Scarborough Open Air Theatre (OAT) about 5:30 so that we could get any merch and get our seats. I got the 2015 Summer Tour wristband which goes so nicely with the one from last year as I went to their Scarborough concert last year. I love going to the OAT because its outside and when live music plays, it just sounds amazing

Then after all the support acts, at around 8pm McBusted came on stage and absoulutely rocked it as per. I loved every single second of it and it is fair to say it was one of the best days I have ever had. The commentary from the boys between songs was so funny as well, especially from Dougie! McBusted are one of those bands that sound amazing live and I would see them time and time again because I know I am going to have a good time.

If I can, I will try and upload some videos that I took on the night so you can see this amazing group!

Hope you enjoy reading this.

Let's Talk Instagram

Sorry I have not blogged in a while, I have been super busy with my family and other stuff.

But today I have decided that I want to talk about my Instagram because I am loving my theme at the moment! I have decided to go for a bright, summery theme which is inspired by Gabby aka VelvetGh0st. I love every theme she does on her Instagram and one of the most recent ones was really bright colour.

Gabby is one of my favourite Youtubers because she is so relatable to me and I feel like she is honest and real. If you don't know who she is then you definitely need to find and and watch her videos.

Back onto Instagram. I was unsure how Gabby edited her photographs to look this good but then in her video she mentioned an App called VSCO which, from personally experience after watching this video, is the best photo editor I have used on my tablet. I have also chosen to focus alot more on nature and the outside world such as flowers and the sea because it is more interesting to look at, especially in summer. I will put her video below on how she achieves her Instagram images and how I gained inspiration for my own.

June Favourites 2015

I have been loving a lot of things this month ranging from body care to music. So here they are:
French Connection Sugar Scrub & Body Lotion
My first favourite is the French Connection Body lotion and sugar scrub. I included this in my Bath Time routine post and I really like these products. I would not normally go for a named brand like this but it was a present for my birthday and I will be definitely re-purchasing these. My skin feels so much more healthier and smoother after using these products 3-4 times a week.

Boots Body Lotion
I have recently started using this body lotion too, switching between this and the french connection one. I have had it for a while so I don't know if they are still sold but it smells amazing and also is great for the skin. The scent is passion fruit which smells so nice and fruity which is perfect for summer. The light purple colour of the lotion is so pretty too alongside the packaging which looks so cute on my shelf.

POLICE - TO BE perfume

I have been really loving this perfume at the moment. I got it for Christmas and have been using this ever since.  don't really use a lot of perfume as I use the JLS perfumes because they are my favourite smell but this scent is really sweet which is what I look for in a perfume. I definitely recommend if you like sweet smells. Also the packaging is so cool looking as it is in the shape of a skull which also looks amazing on my shelves.

Printed Trousers
I am obsessed with printed trousers. The three pairs above are from Primark and are hareem style trousers which are perfect for summer. I am unsure of the prices of all of them, I think some was £7 and one was £12 but for Primark, I feel really comfortable in them and they pair up well with white and black tops. These are perfect for people, like me, who don't have much colour in their wardrobe.

Fabulous Magazine
This is a free magazine which comes with The Sun on Sunday which I always get. The past two weeks have been my favourite for a while purely because of the people featured on the cover and inside. 2 weeks ago was a fathers day special which featured Tom Fletcher from McBusted/Mcfly on it and this week had Little Mix on the cover and Aston Merrygold inside looking very fit. You have to admit that Aston is smoking hot!

Mason Jar Cup
I really love this cup which I got whilst browsing through Home Bargains. Of all places to find this I was so surprised and it was only 49p! I mean WHAT A BARGAIN! It is such good quality and for 49p it is well worth your money. It also looks super cute, my favourite thing at the moment to have in it is this orange and mango juice or lime juice filled with ice and a slice or lemon and lime. It is definitely Insta-Worthy.

Favourite Albums
At the moment, my favourite albums are Mcfly's Motion of the Ocean and McBusted. I can't stop listening to these because I am to excited to see them. I go to see McBusted at Scarborough for the second year in a row on the 18th of July with my best friend and she let me know how many days there were to the concert and now I am super excited! These are great albums too! If you haven't listened to them, go and do it and you can thank me later!

Favourite Songs At the Moment

Aston Merrygold - Get Stupid
Being a JLSter I am backing Aston 100% and even if I wasn't this song is amazing!. The beat is amazing, the lyrics are so catchy and he looks so good in the video. I think everyone should get stupid whilst listening to this!

Little Mix - Black Magic
I love this song. It is amazing. It is such a good 'get up and dance' song which really gets you in the mood. The video is so good as well, I like the whole story line with the girls being nerds at college then they find the book of magic and their lives change. Can we just appreciate how good Jesy looks in the red two piece!?

Kanye West - BLKKK SKKKN HEAD
This song is quite different to my other two but the beat to this song is so good! I am a great fan of Kanye and his music, more his old music than his new but I have to admit he is a genius. Watching his Glastonbury performance just made me love this song even more, I think because I really love hearing songs live. He is controversial but I love that.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading and let me know what are your favourites from this month and what you would recommend.

Bath Time Routine

Today I am going to talk about my bath time routine that I use daily to keep my hair and body in good condition. Especially as it is coming into summer, looking after your hair and skin is important. Here is what products I use to ensure that my skin is clear and hydrated and my hair is in great condition.

Pre-Bath:
Its is hard to believe that for an 18 year old girl, I have never used a face mask so I picked one up from Tesco to see what they are like. I chose the 'Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Mask' which came out blue which I thought was such a nice colour. I thought this one sounded great as I have just finished stressing after my exams so I wanted something that would help de-stress.

As you can see below I thought it was funny having a blue face, looking like a smurf. After letting the mask dry for about 10 mins I washed it off in the bath with warm water. After getting out the bath I looked in the mirror and, not only my face felt and looked fresh, but my black heads that were on my nose were mostly gone. I definitely recommend this face mask!

Bath:

For the bath, it is important for me to have a bath that looks and smell good and for this I used a number of products which I highly recommend. Starting off with the bubbles which every bath needs, I used Zoella's 'Soak Opera' which produces amazing bubbles and also smells amazing. I have had this bottle since Christmas and it has lasted so long so it is a bargain for the cost (cost: £5).

Next I add some colour to my bath using a bath fizzer I got for my birthday. This was the last fizzer in the pack but it makes the brightest pink that I absolutely love. Within seconds of dropping the fizzer in the bath, the water turned bright pink which was so cute especially with the Zoella bubbles.

I washed my hair separately but I use the Tesco 'my senses' shampoo and conditioner from there higher end. I feel like people buy the expensive shampoo and conditioner not knowing there are cheaper products out their that can do just as good as expensive products. The sent is berries and it is perfect for summer as it just smells so sweet and fruity.
The body wash I use goes well with the scent of the shampoo and conditioner as it is also berry flavour. It is a Radox shower gel and smell so nice and fruity and goes well with the scent my hair is now.
To smooth my skin I use the French Connection Sugar Scrub which I got from one of my best friends for my birthday. Alongside this I got the body lotion which goes with the sugar scrub which I use when I get out the bath. The smell of these products is so nice and what I describe of rich. These products have made my skin feel and look better and I have used them since February so I highly recommend them.

Post-Bath
After I get out the bath, I apply the French Connection Body Lotion that I talked about just now to my skin which makes it soft and also smell so nice. Next I get on my PJ's and start on my hair.
When it comes to my hair I don't want to have knots in it when I wake-up the next day so I plait my hair into two. I first put some Moroccon Argan Oil which I have used since the beginning of the year and I have noticed my hair is more shinier and repaired. After applying the oil I go ahead and plait my hair into two.

And that's what I do most nights just to unwind and relax after a long day. I hope you take something from this post and try out some of the products because the a great for you hair/body. Thank You for reading!
